LSH athletes sign to continue education, athletic careers

Three football players sign to schools

Three more Lima Senior High School football players have signed to continue their education and athletic careers at the next level. Lacrosse team to honor vets, looking for help

The Lima Senior High School boys lacrosse team will kick off its first season soon and will begin the tradition of honoring veterans before each home game at Spartan Stadium. The idea to honor local veterans comes from junior player Cole Mericle, who remembered the soccer team doing the same thing a few years ago.

Basketball players earn TRAC honors

Lima Senior High School senior BJ Miller has earned First Team All-TRAC Basketball honors.  Junior Jaleel King was named Second Team, and Honorable Mention awards went to senior Jatsiel Colon and  sophomore Jermaine Daniel. Lady Spartan basketball wins Sectionals

The Lima Senior High School girls basketball team beat Toledo Start 53-26 Thursday to win its first Sectional Title in four years. Destiny McDonald led the Lady Spartans with 17 points and Nakiya Sigman and Taja Oglesbee both added 10 points. The Lima Senior High School Athletics Department will hold its annual Reverse Raffle May 12 at the American Legion Post 96, 711 S. Shore Drive. Russell wins TRAC, named Wrestler of the Year

Lima Senior wrestler Naeem Russell won the TRAC (Three Rivers Athletic Conference) championship at 152 pounds this past weekend. Russell was also named the TRAC Wrestler of the Year. Russell, a junior, has only lost one match this season. His current record is 34-1.
