The first class of the Lima City Schools Athletic Hall of Fame was inducted at a Feb. 10 banquet

The Lima City Schools Athletic Hall of Fame honors teams, athletes, coaches and contributors from Lima Senior High School, Central High School and South High School.

This wasfirst class to be inducted, with a new class coming every year. The Athletic Office accepted nominations this fall and a selection committee recently made its decision. Anyone who has already had his or her uniform retired by the school automatically went into the Hall of Fame.

Guice (track), John Edward Henderson (posthumously for football, basketball and baseball), William Howard (football), Denny Hullinger (football), Robert Wade King (posthumously for track), Leonard Truex (track), John McCullough (basketball), Gary Moeller (football), Joe Morrison (posthumously for football), Jarrod Pughsley (football), David C. Inductees were first recognized during halftime of the Feb. 9, home basketball game.

A digital display for the Hall of Fame will be installed in the hallway just west of the Lima Senior gymnasium to honor inductees.
