Lima Senior High School is adding lacrosse to its offerings beginning this spring. Nate Garlock, the district’s director of safety and security, will be the boys head coach. 8th-grade football wins another championship

For the second consecutive year, the Lima City Schools eighth-grade football team took home the league championship trophy. The team beat Findlay 48-24 to win this year’s title. The seventh-grade team also beat Findlay, giving them the No. 3 spot in the league. The final score was 50-0.

The Miracle by Mericle

The Spartans defeated Toledo St. Francis on a miraculous play made by kicker, Cole Mericle #99. Cole made the game winning field goal for the Spartans to take the lead over St. Francis 25-24, with 3 seconds left in the 4th quarter.
